Why Acquired was Created

We've recently realized that we've explained how to use Acquired, but never why and how it was created.

Let's fix that.

The origin of Acquired goes back to 2019 when Christopher Koziol and Kavan Zommers had both been looking into getting started with Real Estate Wholesaling, but weren't entirely sure how to go about really getting started and didn't know what it took. Through social media, Chris and Kavan, who had been friends since high school, reconnected and started talking about wholesaling real estate together. This led to the creation of a few different business names before finally settling on Acquired. It was short, it made sense, and it started with the letter "A" which was a bonus.

Fast forward to March of 2020 when the whole world shut down from essentially one day to the next. Having only done 2-3 deals and still being rookies in the real estate wholesaling game, the newly formed Acquired team didn't have a contact list of buyers ready to sell properties to like more seasoned wholesalers may have. This left them in a bind with contracts running out of time to flip, and no one to flip them to. With one property under contract still, and with time running out, the team found a buyer for it that lined up perfectly. With closing approaching in a couple of weeks, all documents were signed and sent over to title from the sell side, it was now just a waiting game on the wire to be cleared by the title company from the buy side.

Closing day came and went with excuse after excuse from the buyer as to where the funds were, then radio silence.

After that, the team figured that there had to be a better way to find legit, vetted buyers in one place for wholesalers to be able to contact when they have properties that needed to be sold. After looking around the internet, there was no true "all-in-one" place to do so, thus the idea for Acquired Real Estate was born.

Originating as an iOS only app, then morphing into a website in order to be accessible for more people, Acquired had started to find its footing. 

Acquired has gone through plenty of iterations to get to where it is today, but it is nowhere near being finished. Our continuous and ultimate goal with Acquired is to create a true "all-in-one" Real Estate Wholesaling and Networking platform for anyone and everyone in this industry to use, regardless of if they're thinking about wholesaling, getting started with their first deal, or are a seasoned pro.

We aim to continually add more and more features that will make Acquired a clear and unconscious decision when you think of real estate wholesaling and where to get started.

We want to see everyone in this industry succeed, and we can't wait to see you do so!
